Gym Success and a Metro Fiasco

This is what time I got out of bed this morning:

55 minutes later I was a sweaty, satisfied mess. I cannot tell you how good it felt to get my workout out of the way this morning. I completed 2 quick miles on the treadmill followed by my lower body Best Body Workout.

By 7:30, I was showered, dressed, and munching on breakfast.

(Breakfast: greek yogurt, honey, pear, and honey nut o’s)

I left a bit early having caught wind of some metro troubles and saw a cute German Shepard on the train!

That was the good. This was the bad:

The metro fiasco this morning turned my commute into a 90 minute ordeal. I was frazzled and exhausted by the time I got to work.

I drank lots of coffee and treated myself to some Whole Foods goodness for lunch to reward my successes of the day. (And yes, I consider navigating the metro when it is messed up a success.)

The rest of the day was uneventful. I am glad to have a relaxing night at home with my plate o’ veggies.

I think that my new motto is going to be: “When in doubt, roast.”

I didn’t get much sleep last night so my brain is pretty much toast at this point. Sorry if you’re bored. :)

Question: How long is your commute? Mine is 45 minutes and I loathe it. I think in time I will move closer but for now I need to suck it up!
