I’m back and in a better-ish mood. I suppose ranting all over my blog helped yesterday so thanks for reading. I’ve found over the years that bad moods are bound to happen but there are ways to lift yourself back up without eating copious amounts of food.
1. A quick tough workout. Yesterday, Jen posted a quick cross fit workout that fit the bill.

I loathe long workouts during the week since I am away from home long enough between work and my commute. I modified her version by doing standard crunches instead of knees to elbows and finished in 19:11. Followed by some stretching, I was in and out of the gym in just over 30 minutes.
2. Kid’s snacks. My co-workers think it is hilarious that I prefer foods marketed to kids.
I never really noticed it until they pointed it out but I suppose I just gravitate toward them because of the smaller portion size and the bright colors.
I also ate an unpictured serving of Cheerio’s today. Ha, I am a child.
3. When all else fails, drink wine with a friend.
My mood has been pretty sour this week but a solid wine night with my roommate really helped. We vented, drank a bit, and caught up on trashy TV. It was perfectly relaxing.
Question: What is your favorite way to fight off a bad mood?

I agree, kids snacks all the way. My choice cheese balls, well i mean and any kind of finger food. I have to say a great de stressor is chatting with friends.

String cheese is a staple for me.
I play with my dog when I am in a bad mood…or I put on some upbeat music because that always does the trick, too!

A good workout, or even just a short walk around the block always helps to brighten my mood!
You know those Cuties clementine commercials that are like “kids love cuties, because cuties are made for kids!”? Every time I see one, I’m just like NO, TRIX ARE FOR KIDS; THESE ORANGES ARE FOR ME. DON’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO, ORANGES.
