Hello! So it’s been a while. I didn’t intend to take a whole week off blogging but sometimes I just don’t have much to say. Anyways, I am back now and excited to share my weekend activities with you guys!
Yesterday morning I headed over to Clarendon (a cute little neighborhood in VA) to meet up with my blogging buddy Ashley for the Revolve Cross Cycle Challenge. We were invited to participate as bloggers, but the event is something I would definitely pay for on my own again.
The event was composed of a 45 minute bootcamp class followed by a 45 minute spin class. Both activities were lead by Grant Hill, who is the owner of My Bootcamp.
We started in a small park just around the corner from the Revolve Studios. We split up into several groups of 5 before getting down and dirty with some intense circuit workouts. The exercises had a military-esque focus with lots of high knees, flutter kicks, pushups, and squatting. My favorite exercise was definitely running with a sandbag. It was humbling but also made me feel kind of badass.
We finished up the bootcamp portion and headed back over to the cycling studio for what Revolve calls a “Real Ride.” Basically it is an all-out heart pumping 45 minute ride. Short and sweet!
The music was the best part of the class. Grant played a fabulous playlist that kept me pumped up throughout the class. Overall it was a great bootcamp! I definitely recommend checking it out if you are in the area!
There may even be a cool tank in it for you!
After all that activity Ashely and I were famished. We headed around the block to South Block to refuel. The company set up a small booth in Revolve to let us sample their juices, so I knew going in that the Detox was going to be good.
I inhaled lunch while chatting with Ashely about all things. It was so good to see her. We headed our separate ways after lunch and I returned home and promptly passed out for a few hours. All that activity was exhausting.
Thanks again to Revolve and Grant Hill for allowing me to participate. I had a great time!
