Whew, I had to dust off quite a few cobwebs to get back to the “add new” page of WordPress last night. I keep thinking I am done with this little blog of mine and then inspiration strikes and I find myself not quite ready to walk away.
The face of blogging has drastically changed over the last 3 years (yikes I have been at this awhile!). It’s not quite so easy to monetize unless you are willing to put advertiser’s content in front of your readers (i.e. sponsored posts) and that was not a direction I was willing to go with Knack for Nutrition. Reading other blogs left me feeling like maybe the good ol’ days of food and fitness recaps were long gone.
But in an effort to not leave the 5 of you still reading without fresh content, here I am. I’m not quite sure that I have the same “knack” that prompted me to hit publish on that first post so long ago but whatever keeps my fingers on the keyboard is worth exploring, don’t you think?
It’s an interesting time around these parts. I recently returned from a week-long trip where my primary form of exercise was chewing and I find myself not feeling so great about my overall health. Since I last blogged, I also lost a lot of fitness. After my last half-marathon catastrophe I lost my mojo when it came to running. But time heals all wounds (see what I did there?!) and I am eagerly anticipating the start of marathon training on September 1st. Oh yes, Disney 2014 is still on.
So I am here, ceasing my long hiatus and re-invigorated to get this blog back in tip top shape. Hang around if you like, as the next few months are going to get interesting!
